Once upon a time, I did several seasons with Seaside Repertory Theatre. I was one of those behind the scenes hands and got a pretty full understanding of just how many hands it takes to successfully make a play happen.
Sure, you settle into your seat and see the actors on stage, but just about everything you see was picked out, painted, sewed, or created from scratch. There are house mangers, stage managers, and technical managers all making sure that you have a quality, immersive theatre experience.
Community theatre lives and dies by their volunteer staff and how many seats they can fill.
The 850 region is lucky to have several fantastic theatres that support our local talent – among them is Kaleidoscope in Lynn Haven.
