Tickets on Sale now for “By Golly, Be Jolly” Holiday Concert benefiting Covenant Hospice
Fort Walton Beach, FL – Tickets are now on sale for “By Golly, Be Jolly,” a holiday production presented by the Emerald Coast Community Band to benefit Covenant Hospice. The concert will be held Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014 at 7 p.m. at the Fort Walton Beach Municipal Auditorium, 107 Miracle Strip Parkway SW, and will feature a medley of Christmas and other seasonal music, as well as special guests Joy A Cappela Quartet.
Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Advance tickets can be purchased at P.S. Gifts and Playground Music in Fort Walton Beach, Bayou Book Company in Niceville, UpBeat Music in Crestview and both of Covenant Hospice’s local branch offices, located at 220 Eglin Parkway NE in Fort Walton Beach and 4100 S. Ferdon Boulevard in Crestview or by phone at (850) 729-1800.
All proceeds from ticket sales benefit Covenant Hospice’s special programs in Okaloosa and Walton counties. These programs include bereavement services, children’s support programs, chaplain services and indigent patient care. Covenant Hospice accepts patients regardless of ability to pay. In 2013, the organization provided over $1.5 million in services for uninsured or under-insured patients facing the final chapter of life.
Covenant Hospice Offers ‘Coping with the Holidays’ Workshop
Fort Walton Beach, FL – Realizing that the holidays can be an emotionally difficult time for those who have suffered the loss of a loved one, the Covenant Hospice Bereavement Department will be providing a free workshop to help. The workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, Dec. 9 at the Covenant Hospice branch office, located at 220 Eglin Parkway NE in Fort Walton Beach.
The workshop will include information, literature and education on normal grief reactions, coping strategies for the holidays, ways to remember a loved one and supporting grieving family members and friends through the holidays. Light refreshments will be served. This free workshop is open to the public but reservations are required. RSVP to Covenant Hospice at (850) 729-1800.
