The 7th Annual Fort Walton Beach Zombie Walk Can Food Drive October 17th, 2015
Not only are Zombie Walk’s fun Halloween activities – they are opportunities to do a little good in our own community. The Annual Ft Walton Beach is currently seeking a wide range of volunteers – email them if you are able to lend a helping hand and have a really good time.
Volunteers will get community service hours through Sharing and Caring – A sign-up sheet for hours Request volunteers sign up for 3hrs minimum. All shifts can be broken down into the 3hr or more shifts.
Set-up Crew Requirements: People needed 6. Times: 2:30 – 5pm. Registration Tables. Walk through Downtown to hang and check directional signage. Set-up Thriller Dance arena.
Make-up Artists needed: People needed 6. Times: 3pm – 7pm. Zombie Make-up Artist needed for Sharing & Caring Donations. Simple make-up with examples printed and an experienced artist to show you.
Walk Leaders: People needed 4. Times: 5pm – 8pm Lead the Walk through Downtown – 2 for Adult Walk. 2 for Kid Walk. Crossing guards provided for 98.
Registration Tables: People Needed 20. Times Needed: 3-7 – 2 locations to register and hand out scavenger hunt packages to about 1,500 people.
Collect Cans. Instructions provided.
Can Relocation(Collection): People Needed 6. Times: 3 – 8pm. Registration Tables, and make-up booths will have can collections. We need strong people to move from the tables to trailers for Sharing and Caring.
Fillers: People Needed 4. 3pm – 10pm.
Clean-up/Take down: People Needed 6. Times 8:30-10:30pm. Take down directional posters. Clean-up downtown, so we can have the event again next year. Pack and pick up Landing. Pick up Zombiewalk street signs.
2015 7th Annual Fort Walton Beach Zombie Walk and Can Food Drive. Donate food and party like Zombies. Saturday October 17, 2015. All “undead” are invited to join. Zombies should bring their cans of food to one of 2 registration locations starting at 4pm. One table will be set up at the corner of Ferry Rd and 98 and the other will be at The Landing. To play the games, zombies must register by 5:30pm. Make-up artists will be on hand to zombify for an additional donation of canned goods. Games, Prizes & Music for all ages. Trick or treating for the kids. Zombie Walk will conclude with a meandering of Zombies through Downtown to their final destination for Thriller Dance. Following is a list of activities:
- 4-6pm ZOMBIE REGISTRATION. Zombies must bring 2 cans of food to The Landing or to the corner in front of Burrito Del Sol. FOR A CHANCE TO WIN PRIZES, YOU MUST BE REGISTERED BY 5:30. Zombies will receive 1 of 2 maps. One map will lead the families with small children to the locations with Trick or Treating and games (when they play the game, they will get their card stamped). This map will also send them to Fountain Square for the Zombie Walk at 6:30. The other map will lead individuals ages 13 & up to locations to get their card stamped. This map will send them to the area behind Burrito Del Sol for the Zombie Walk at 6:30.
- 6:30pm ZOMBIE WALK Zombies need to be at the locations on their map. Either Fountain Square by Fokker’s Pub or the grassy area behind Burrito Del Sol. Zombies will be led down Hwy 98 to end at The Landing.
- 7pm THRILLER DANCE at The Landing and announcement of prizes
