Public Eye SOAR Gears up for 2021 Dates

Public Eye SOAR 2021 Partners with GCSC Visual & Performing Arts Department

(Panama City, Florida) – In partnership with Gulf Coast State College’s Visual and Performing Arts Department, International Light and Projection Art Festival – Public Eye Soar – returns for its eighth year as a walking festival. Gracing the beautiful architecture of the Gulf Coast State College campus, light, art and projections will illuminate our community on November 12 and 13 from 6pm until 10pm. For two nights only, Panama City will SOAR taller, bigger and brighter than it ever has. Festival goers will walk through the largest outdoor public art gallery in the Southeast. Since 2014, SOAR has featured 400+ living artists from 23 countries, 6 continents, and has displayed well over 2,500 works of art. SOAR transforms Panama City architecture into a unique wonderland of light, color, and imagination to share art in all of its forms in unexpected places and ways to delight, surprise, educate and inspire our community.

SOAR takes art off the gallery walls and places it outside on city buildings for everyone to experience. Local artists will demonstrate their talent live and building-sized, with art surprises throughout the festival location. And SOAR 2021 will see the return of interactive art opportunities for festival attendees to create on the spot!

This year’s Public Eye Soar Presenting sponsors are St. Joe Community Foundation, Gulf Coast State College Visual and Performing Arts Department, Chevron, Bay Arts Alliance, Destination Panama City, and the Charles A. Whitehead Foundation. Because of their generous support, Public Eye Soar is free and open to the public! Volunteers are needed.
