Update from Kaleidoscope Theatre

Hurricane Michael damanaged impacted so many in terrible ways.  This update on the community based Kaleidoscope Theatre – made me happy cry.  Their build was badly damanged and although it is unlikely they can continue in that space in the near future – they are finding a way to partner with a new location to continue forward.

As you may know, Kaleidoscope Theatre was badly damaged by Hurricane Michael. We are rebuilding both the main auditorium and the support facility buildings. We anticipate an even better facility, including ADA access and designated seating for wheelchairs.

We will produce “On Golden Pond” at the Gretchen Nelson Scott Theatre (Mosley High School) in January, 2019!! These dates coincide with our original opening schedule; however, we have added one Thursday evening performance with matinees moved to Saturdays as there will be no Sunday performances:

January 4, 2019 (Friday) 7:30p.m.

January 5, 2019 (Saturday) 2:00p.m. matinee, 7:30p.m.

January 10, 2019 (Thursday) 7:30p.m.

January 11, 2019 (Friday) 7:30 p.m.

January 12, 2019 (Saturday) 2:00p.m. matinee, 7:30p.m.

The cast is excited to be able to do this beautiful play and are rehearsing in one of the cast member’s garage. The cast includes Janet Nuckols as Ethel, Matt Albritton as Norman, Lauren Johns as Chelsea, Brandon Warr as Charlie, Eric Minter as Bill Ray and Connor Sosa as Billy Ray, Jr.

We are hoping to do additional shows, possibly in February and/or April depending on facility and personnel availability.

If you have season tickets, they can be used for any production during this season and any unused admissions will be carried over to the 49th Season. Please remember, your season ticket is good for 6 admissions (either all for one show or spread throughout the season) until the number of admissions is used up.

We should have a reservations system set up shortly. Plan to bring lots of friends as the Gretchen Nelson Scott Theatre seats twice as many as our Kaleidoscope Theatre auditorium!

We will be back –  new and improved! Thanks for the calls and emails of concern.

Though we are fortunate to have good insurance, we will still need additional support. Please consider donating to either our Go Fund Me account or through Vendini.
