Panama City, FL – The Visual & Performing Arts Division of Gulf Coast State College will hold open theatre auditions for the Fall 2018 productions of “The Wolves,” directed by Hank Rion, and Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing,” directed by Jason Hedden. The auditions are open to all GCSC students, non-students and community actors age 15 and up. Participants under 18 will require parental permission if cast. Auditions for both plays will be held Wednesday, August 22 at 6:30 p.m. in the GCSC Amelia Center Theatre. Callbacks will be on Thursday, August 23 at 6:30 p.m.
Those interested in auditioning for “The Wolves” should prepare a one-minute contemporary monologue. This production is comprised of female roles only. Performances will be held September 28-30 & October 5-7 in the Amelia Center Theatre Lab.
Those interested in auditioning for “Much Ado About Nothing” should present a short monologue from one of Shakespeare’s plays or choose a monologue from the play to perform (memorized) at the audition. For monologue selections, email Jason Hedden at jhedden@gulfcoast.edu. Performances will be held November 9-11 & 16-18 in the Amelia Center Theatre.
