The Baytowne Wharf Beer Festival at Sandestin Announces a Pitcher Perfect Weekend October 13-14

With the boom of interest in craft brewing, the Baytowne Wharf Beer Festival promises to be more popular than ever.
Known as the “Best Beer Fest on the Emerald Coast,” the festival will have opportunities to discover and sample specialty beers from around the country. The charming Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin is the perfect backdrop for fun-in-the-sun during the traditionally beautiful month of October.
The Baytowne Beer Festival is the largest beer event in Northwest Florida. This year’s event will feature a wide range of beers varying in strength and style. From light pale ales and rich dark stouts to a number of bottled and yet-to-be-released fall beers – beer aficionados and novices will be able to savor the best in sudsy selections.
Friday, October 13
Beer From Around Here will take place in the Village Events Plaza from 6-8 p.m. Sample local breweries like Destin Brewery, Props Brewery, Fairhope Brewing Company, Idyll Hounds and Grayton Beer, taste appetizers from merchants in the Village, and enjoy live music by the Forrest Williams Band.
Saturday, October 14
The Saturday VIP event will feature exclusive beer tastings, TimberCreek Distillery bourbon, and delicious featured menu items from Marlin Grill from 1-2 p.m. This ticket is all inclusive for Saturday’s events and guests receive express entry into the grand tasting.
During Saturday’s Grand Tasting from 2-6 p.m., the Village will transform into a taster’s paradise with tents and nearly 200 domestic and international beers from more than 40 on-site craft brewers. New craft beers and different selections from past years will be featured. Plus, enjoy live music by The Modern Eldorados and The Moon Lagoons. A sample of the brewing companies featured at this year’s festival includes: Idyll Hounds, Grayton Beer Company, Destin Brewery, Props, 3rd Planet Brewery, New Belgium, Back Forty, 3 Daughters, Pensacola Bay Brewery, Shipyard Brewing Company, SweetWater, Abita, Sierra Nevada, Fairhope Brewing Company and many more. Brewery representatives will be available to discuss the different types of lagers and ales, teaching about the variety of styles.
Saturday’s Craft Beer Tasting tickets are on sale for a reduced price of $30 per person until Oct. 14, VIP tickets are on sale for $60 and Beer From Around Here tickets are on sale for $40. Tickets can be purchased the day of the event for $35 and special pricing for groups is also available. Tickets are also available for purchase at the Sandestin Welcome Center’s front desk. Guests are advised to purchase tickets early, for the event has sold out in past years. All ticketholders will be provided a Baytowne Wharf Beer Festival tasting glass for sampling.
