“OVER $3,500 IN PRIZES AND CASH FOR WINNING SINGER AT EC LIVE.”

Emerald Coast Theatre Company gives people a chance to take the stage at spring fundraiser!

Emerald Coast Theatre Company (ECTC), a non-profit professional theater company, is giving the community a chance to take the stage again at EC LIVE, a fundraiser for ECTC’s educational and professional programming.

EC Live is the area’s first professional singing competition where one contestant will win a professional studio recording session, radio airplay of their recorded song, a professional headshot session with a Nashville photographer, a new style wardrobe, a $500 cash prize, and a live gig at the HarborWalk Memorial Day concert.  That is over $3,500 in cash and prizes!

Two pre-qualifying auditions will determine the top ten for the final showdown. Professional industry judges will choose the winner at the showdown based on talent, style and manageability.

“One of the best things about this is that we get to create an opportunity for people to perform,” said Nathanael Fisher, ECTC’s Producing Artistic Director, “the community has a chance to get on stage and also raise funds for ECTC’s educational and professional programs. It’s a win/win!”

The west end pre-qualifier audition will take place in Destin on May 5, 2016, 7:00 PM, at the Bart Rockett Theatre in Harborwalk Village. The east end pre- qualifier will be in Santa Rosa Beach on May 6, 2016, 7:00 PM, at the Grayton Beer Taproom.  There is a $40 registration fee to perform and attendance at the pre-qualifying events are free.

The requirements for Qualifier Rounds / Auditions are: Participants must be 15 years or older, songs must be a 1.5 minute cutting of any style song, participants must provide music in MP3 format, and participants are judged on talent, style and manageability.  The requirements for Final Showdown are: Participants must be 15 years or older, provide two 1.5 minute song cuttings (up-tempo and ballad from any genre), participants must provide music in MP3 format, and participants are judged on talent, style and manageability.

The Final Event & Fundraiser will be at LuLu’s Destin on May 12, 2016, 7:00PM.  This is where the top ten singers from the pre-qualifying rounds will compete for the grand prize!  Ticket prices start at $25 and go up as the event draws closer.

ECTC would like to recognize and thank Beachy Beach Real Estate, Grand Boulevard at Sandestin, Ocean Reef Vacation Rentals and Real Estate, HarborWalk Village, Grayton Beer Company, 30a Radio, Jessie Holloway Photography, and LuLu’s Destin for sponsoring this event.
