CRESTVIEW, Florida, September 10, 2015 – Throw on your glad rags and get ready for a swell time at the 9th Annual Blue Jean Ball – A Great Gatsby Soiree, benefiting Covenant Hospice on Saturday, October 3, 2015, 6:00 p.m. at the Crestview Community Center. Regular and VIP tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at www.eventsatcovenant.org/bluejeanball.
Grab your favorite blue jeans or dress up in your Gatsby inspired costume for a night full of 1920’s glitz and glam. Upscale sit-down dinner, libations, swanky entertainment and casino games combined with an amazing silent auction, diamond jewelry drawing and local celebrity dance competition is sure to be a night not to miss.
All proceeds from Blue Jean Ball support Covenant Hospice’s special programs in Okaloosa and Walton counties. These programs include bereavement services, children’s support programs, spiritual support services and charity care.
In addition to the soiree, Covenant Hospice has partnered with the Fred Astaire Dance Company of Crestview and four local members of the community to create our local celebrity dance competition. These local celebrities include: Reverend Michael Precht, Senior Pastor at First United Methodist Crestview, Christie Cadenhead, Assistant Vice President at Community Bank, Ryan Mabry, Pearl Mabry School of Music and Alison Broxson, Director of Admissions at Shoal Creek Rehabilitation Center.
The Fred Astaire Dance Company will train these local celebrities over the next few weeks as they work to raise donations from the community. Each dollar donated in a dancer’s name equates to one vote. These celebrity dancers will then debut their dance moves at the dance competition during Blue Jean Ball. Votes are being collected online and in person prior to and at the event on October 3.
This party for a purpose gets even better with a drawing for a chance to win a cascading ½ carat diamond pendant in 14 karat white gold, valued at $940 courtesy of Lewis Diamond Gallery. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20 and can be purchased at Covenant Hospice and Lewis Diamond Gallery. Winner will be drawn at Blue Jean Ball, but does not have to be present to win.
To purchase tickets, vote for your favorite local celebrity dancer or sponsor Blue Jean Ball visit www.eventsatcovenant.org/BlueJeanBall or contact Rachel Mayew at 850-682-3628.
