TAMPA, Fla. (March 20, 2014) – Having entertained fans for more than four decades, REO Speedwagon is set to perform at the Hard Rock Cafe in the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa on Sunday, May 25, at 9 p.m.
Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 28, for $80 per person – standing room only and are available to those 21 and older. Tickets will be available for purchase at any Ticketmaster outlet, Ticketmaster.com and the Rock Shop located at Hard Rock Cafe inside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa.
There will also be a special pre-sale ticket offer for guests who “like” and “follow” Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Fans will then get a special code to purchase tickets as early as 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 26.
Formed in 1967 and fronted by iconic vocalist Kevin Cronin since 1972, REO Speedwagon has maintained its Midwest work ethic and given their fans a reason to keep on loving them.
The band has produced numerous hits over the years including “Ridin’ The Storm Out,” “Keep On Loving You,” and “Take it on the Run.” Its “Hi Infidelity” album in the 1980’s was certified platinum nine times and still remains a high-water mark for rock bands. The album spent 15 weeks in the #1 slot.
Besides Cronin, REO Speedwagon consists of Bruce Hall on bass, Neal Doughty on keyboards, Dave Amato on lead guitar and Bryan Hitt on drums.
Of late, the band has been linked to the Midwest Rock N’ Roll Express Tour. In the spring and summer of 2012, REO teamed with Styx and Ted Nugent for a tour which traveled around the country. Last year, the Midwest Rock N’ Roll Express Tour hit more than 20 cities.
