On Wednesday August 29th the garage pop trio Wet Nurse will take over Gaines Street in Tallahassee.
Hailing from Orlando, Wet Nurse was formed in 2010 by twin sisters Nina and Susana Chaplin. Drummer Vanessa Brewster was pulled into the fold soon after, completing the line-up.
The band is heading out on a month long tour to support their new LP ‘Daily Whatever’.
The ladies where nice enough to answer a few questions about their musical endeavors:
Who are your biggest musical influences?
Vanessa: White Stripes for sure, any old-school punk, 60’s pop like the Monks and contemporaries like Mean Jeans and Shannon & The Clams.
What pulled you to this style of music?
Nina: I always saw myself playing in a fast, poppy rock ‘n roll band and my sister and I have always been singing harmonies together.
Where would you like the band to be one year from now?
Nina: In a year I hope to be touring another country and have another full length album!
