A round up of some of the area music news:
Most of the bands were announced for the Hangout Music Festival in Gulf Shores Alabama. Headliners include Jack Black and Chris Cornell.
Thunder Beach is going to start up next week. Be extra careful to be on the lookout for motorcycles. Lots of fun to be had in Panama City Beach and lots of great music coming through for Thunder Beach.
Speaking of which, Club LaVela is bringing through two big headlining acts next week:
Thursday 5/3: Buckcherry with James Durbin and Redlight King
Friday 5/4: JACKYL with Nigel Dupree
Hotel Oscar’s live album is currently in the manufacturing stage… Release details to be announced.
The Owsley Brothers new album “Cobalt” is now available for download on bandcamp.
Death Before Dying is hoping to have their new CD ready for release at the end of May.
Vantage Point is looking for a new bass player. They are a hard rock band who are based out of Ft Walton. They are seeking a dedicated bass player with their own professional equipment and transportation. Vantage Point members are between the ages of 21-28, and are hopeful to find someone who gels well, with a positive attitude, and are ready to spend lots of time in rehearsal for upcoming summer shows.
