Band Review: Modern Primitive – Part Two

With a line-up change comes an updated review….  Read my first review of the band here.

After some last minute holiday shopping, a stop in at Ms Newby’s was next on the ‘to do’ list.  The place was lit up with Christmas lights, warmed with propane heaters, and Modern Primitive was on the stage — with a new bass player.

It seems that the band and Matt have parted ways.

The new bassists fits in well with Modern Primitive as they played through their varied set list.

My personal highlight of the night was a cover of a Bush song, and the over all feel of a local band, at a local bar, on a quieter locals night.  The band let a couple locals sit in for some songs, which is always a fun thing to be a part of on a night out.

As for Matt, the now former bassist of Modern Primitive; this metal chick has her fingers crossed that his next project could be something with a hard edge.
