Swell Pops are… Swell!

We may not be high-end foodies, but we do have a soft spot for trying new things. When that new thing is from a local company, with primarily local ingredients, and satisfies our sweet tooth – you have our full attention.

I was introduced to Swell Pops last week and I’m already looking forward to my next encounter with the frozen goodness.

I had the blackberry & cream popsicle – and it was perfect. Nothing speaks of summer quite the way that blackberries do and Swell Pops managed to keep a fair amount of the berry’s pulp, while still being a seedless treat. I didn’t encounter a single seed, which is quite a feat.

The varieties that the company offers is in part dictated by what fruit is in-season. They have a food truck style set-up and can be hired out for event and have a handy list of places you can find them on their website. If you happen to see their cart, do yourself a favor and stop for a treat. Your tummy will thank you.
