Exploring Entertainment in Florida's 850 & Beyond

Experience Foo Foo Fest 2025: Jazz for Justice Brings Music, Art, and Community to Downtown Pensacola

Around Pensacola, “12 Days of Events” isn’t just in relation to Christmas; it’s also in relation to Foo Foo Fest. The 12-day festival takes place all over Pensacola with a variety of arts and entertainment events, from theater and symphony performances to rock concerts. We always enjoy personally participating in the Jazz for Justice Music Festival.

We’ve been photographing this event for several years now, and we absolutely love it. It’s a free event held in the Museum Plaza area of downtown Pensacola that features both local and national jazz artists, along with local vendors. Best of all, it supports our local chapter of Legal Services of North Florida.

Legal Services of Northwest Florida fills the gap for folks who need representation in civil cases, such as adoptions or tenant rights. They also show up after hurricanes to help with insurance issues. They meet an incredible need in our community and help people who don’t always know where to turn.

Jazz for Justice is not only an opportunity to come together and listen to great jazz outdoors on the museum lawn, it’s also a way to help people learn about these services and connect neighbors with one another.

I suggest following this link to learn more about Foo Foo Fest and all the events happening over the next 12 days. There’s so much going on, with plenty of free events and others that offer ticket or VIP options. If you enjoy arts and entertainment, it’s a great festival to follow from year to year to see what catches your interest and to get to know Pensacola’s creative community.

You’ll definitely see us—Eddie and I—out at Jazz for Justice under our other photography brand. If you spot us, don’t hesitate to holler and grab a quick photo while you’re enjoying the music.

I’m including the full press release for Jazz for Justice below, along with links to Legal Services of North Florida. And if you can’t make it out this year, we hope to see you next time!

Jazz for Justice Returns to Pensacola as Part of the 2025 Foo Foo Festival, Nov. 2, 2025

PENSACOLA, FL (SEPT. 24, 2025) – Get ready for another unforgettable celebration where music and community come together. Legal Services of North Florida (LSNF) is proud to host Jazz for Justice once more on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Museum Plaza, 120 Church St., in the heart of Downtown Pensacola. Admission is free.

Made possible by the Pensacola Foo Foo Festival, Jazz for Justice brings the best of New Orleans and Pensacola jazz to the stage. Attendees will experience world-class jazz performances, delicious food from local restaurants and food trucks, engaging vendors, and family-friendly activities, all while supporting free civil legal help for those most in need across North Florida.

A Showcase of Brass and Jazz

This year’s Jazz for Justice lineup is tuned to perfection, with an afternoon that swings from smooth grooves to high-energy brass explosions.

Kicking things off is a hometown favorite, Whiskey and Water (Pensacola), whose sound flows as effortlessly as their name. With silky jazz vocals poured over Louisiana blues, a splash of reggae, and a kick of Southern rock guitar, they strike the perfect chord to get the crowd swaying.

Keeping the music alive, Bon Bon Vivant (New Orleans) turns up the tempo with a performance that’s equal parts spectacle and soul. Blending indie grit, Americana heart, and that unmistakable Crescent City flair, frontwoman Abigail Cosio and saxophonist Jeremy Kelley craft songs that dance between revelry and reflection, proof that their music is as much storytelling as it is rhythm.

Bringing it all home with a crescendo, the legendary Preservation Hall Brass Band (New Orleans) takes the stage as the event’s headlining act. This all-star brass ensemble, led by trumpeter Mark Braud, carries the torch of New Orleans’ musical heritage. From timeless parade anthems to spirituals and classic jazz standards, their sound is the heartbeat of the Big Easy, and it’s guaranteed to bring the crowd to its feet.

Family-Friendly Fun and VIP Perks

Jazz for Justice offers more than music; it’s a true community event. Families can enjoy interactive science activities from the Pensacola MESS Hall, games, and more. Bring kids, grandparents, for an afternoon that feels like a neighborhood block party with world-class music. Spread out a blanket, set up lawn chairs, and let the little ones dance in the grass while relaxing under the autumn sky. Jazz for Justice makes it easy to enjoy good food, great music, and quality time together in the heart of Downtown Pensacola.

Want to elevate the festival experience? Secure VIP tickets through a sponsorship starting at the Patron level or grab individual VIP tickets online while supplies last. VIP guests will enjoy exclusive access to the Voices of Pensacola Museum, where they’ll be treated to catered food, drinks, their own personal musical performance inside, and a comfortable lounge where you can still soak up the sounds of the festival.

Support Legal Services of North Florida

Jazz for Justice is not just about great music; it’s about making a difference. Legal Services of North Florida (LSNF) provides free civil legal help to low-income individuals and families across 16 counties, handling nearly 8,000 cases each year that impact more than 20,000 lives.
