Photographer Profile: Steven Mclendon 

What first attracted you to photography? 
My love for photography started in high school when I began to take pictures of friends skateboarding for fun. 

What is a moment you are most proud of in regards to photography?
I was most proud of myself when I got the chance to shoot a live venue for the first time. Being able to get photos of your favorite bands is the best.

Favorite style or subject to shoot? 
I’m gonna have to say doing portraits in a live venue.

There is Something about having to adapt to a environment that is ever changing and being able to NAIL shots! 

Favorite piece of equipment? 
The Nifty 50mm 

What is your dream photography gig? 
One day I hope to be able to tour with my favorite bands and see the world along the way.

Any advice for others who are interested in photography? 
Be your own person, develop your own style and try something new every chance you get. 

The best piece of advice you received starting out? 
Stay open minded and get out of your comfort zone.
