Based in Athens, Georgia, Ashes to Omens has released their newest single, “Feed Me More”. They consider themselves a blend of “Hard Rock, Alternative Rock, and Post-Grunge” styles—and their latest single reflects that.
Clocking in at four minutes long, the tune opens with a crunchy guitar riff with some fuzziness that is definitely reminiscent of the post-grunge era bands who ruled the radio. They obviously put time and effort into the production elements, resulting in a polished end result.
The single’s title sets the song up for a nice call-and-response moment, making it easy to see this song working well when performed live. It’s got enough melody and repeating elements that a crowd would catch on fast. And enough crunch and punch that harder rock fans will feel right at home.
It’s a great outing from the newly reformed Southeast band, and according to their website, two more singles are scheduled to be released this year.
“Feed Me More” is currently available on all streaming platforms.
