FANdom Con Review
We are happy to have this review and photos from cosplayer Meechelle MeowMeow, from 2016’s Fandom Con. We’ve often had a blast at this convention – and hope to see it continue. They hit a few roadblocks this year, and began a GoFundMe to help ensure their return for 2017.
Overall a really terrific con with lots to do for nerds of all kinds. Unfortunately, I was only able to attend Saturday, usually the busiest day of any con, which wasn’t nearly enough time to get the full Fandom Con experience. I did get to enjoy the cosplay contest, where all contestants had to hand-make or alter at least 70% of their costume to even enter. The showmanship was top notch!
Other highlights included a mannequin challenge that incorporated almost all of the attendees of the con, a comedy show made up of 5 funny, nerdy comedians, a bountiful vendor room to shop for all your nerdy desires, and the conversations and moments shared with all the wonderfully positive people that make up this great community. I definitely look forward to returning next year for a third round!
