One club, three stages, ten bands, and tons of heart.
Pretty much everyone on the face of the Earth has had some personal brush with cancer. Whether they have lost someone, watched someone battle it, or even experienced it themselves, cancer has left a mark on us all.
Although survivor rates for many forms of cancer have drastically changed, in many cases giving hope were they wouldn’t have been any only a couple of decades ago. We have yet to reach that point where a cure is near, that thing that will obliterate cancer as we know it. That is why Rock For A Cure exists.
It is the way that our talented area musicians can come together, to do something, to make an impact.
Ten bands for one cause.
I took quite a few pictures that night, they can be found here.
This was the 5th year of the successful event, and I am looking forward to next year’s already.
