Band Review: Jury

From beginning to end, three sets of hard rock tunes…. Perfection.

Jury wins the award for doing the most hard rock and metal covers I have ever heard a band do over the course of a single evening out.  In my book, that is an award (albeit an invisible award) to strive for.

They are a 4 piece band, with the lead singer occasionally doing double duty as a guitar player.  Each member is just spectacular – from top to bottom this is a band to see.

The song choices pull mostly from 90’s and current hard rock like Limp Bizkit, Tool, Disturbed, and Drowning Pool.  Jury also puts their own spin on songs from Billy Idol and ZZ Top, while sprinkling in their own originals.

The lead singer of Jury has a great vocal range, including a nice lower register backed with a lot of power.  He can belt, scream, and growl – pretty much the entire vocal package you could hope for in a hard rock band.

Bonus points for going out of their way to connect with the audience, including some special attention to some birthday celebrators.

Jury is already slated to come back to Club LaVela in Panama City Beach this Spring, so if you are a fan of hard rock, make sure to get out to see these guys.
